Founded:

In 1944, Edmund Dickson had an idea.  He knew the positive, life-changing impact of Bible verses and other inspirational sayings.  If people could see those words on things they look at and use every day, he reasoned, that impact could be even greater.   So, in the basement of the Bible bookstore they owned, Edmund and his wife, Lura, began making ribbon pins and other products to sell in their bookstore.  Business grew and more products, such as wall plaques, were added. 

Today:

The Dickson’s tiny operation grew to become Dicksons Inc, a leading manufacturer and distributor of Christian product. The facility, based in Seymour, Indiana, totals over 228,000 square feet and employs approximately 100 people who proudly celebrate over 70 years of service. Dicksons offers an extensive line of over 8,500 items to appeal to practically every age and style. Many of the over 2,000 items created new each year are exclusively developed and designed by our in-house product development team.

Mission:

True to Mr. Dickson’s original idea, our continued mission is to serve our customers by creating, manufacturing, distributing and marketing Biblically based gift products to impact the lives of people everywhere.

Dicksons product line covers a vast array of items from wall decor, home decor, and all types of gifts for life events starting with baby, Confirmation, Communion, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation, including sympathy...and gifts for every day in between. Some of our top brands include Cross Gifts inspirational jewelry and Harbor House auto accessories. We have a vast Christmas line as well as beautiful assortments of tabletop figurines, ceramic and travel mugs, paper product such as bookmarks and journals, Bible covers, infant and children’s gifts and many other categories which support our mission.

New Division-Jozie B:

Jozie B is a new category of business for Dicksons starting in 2012, with its primary focus on the general gift market.  Although Dicksons has a presence in the general market with scripture based items, Jozie B entered with inspiring gift products focused soley on the needs of this particular channel. Product categories include jewelry, sympathy, and wall/tabletop décor.  The Hebrew meaning of the name Jozie means, “God will increase”, and the office location on B Avenue lead us to our company name Jozie B, and she’s lived up to her moniker. New product offerings continue to increase  as well as our reach into the market we serve.
